  • WHAT WE DO

    NY Ephs is the chapter of the Williams College Alumni Association dedicated to serving the NYC metro region. Our mission is to strengthen and expand the regional alumni community by fostering alumni connections, hosting events geared towards Williams alumni, and supporting Williams College’s presence in NYC.

     

    We strive to provide opportunities for all members of the Williams community, young and old, to stay engaged with their College and fellow alumni. We welcome interest from any Ephs interested in volunteering, offering feedback on our efforts, or simply learning more about what we do.     The Prom - 8/6/19

    Group tickets & talkback with Producer Abigail Rose Solomon '92

    Join us for group tickets to THE PROM, Drama Desk Award Winner for Best Musical of 2019, on Tuesday, August 6 at 7:00 pm, at the Longacre Theatre (220 W 48th St). This is your last chance to see The Prom before it closes on 8/11, and Ephs who attend will be invited to stay for an exclusive post-show talkback with co-producer Abigail Rose Solomon, Williams class of '92, along with members of the show's creative team.

    Cathleen Clark '07

    Board Co-President

    Cathleen works in the Athletics Department at Columbia University where she is also getting her Master's Degree in Sports Management. In college, she was a member of the Varsity Field Hockey and Softball teams, and winner of the inaugural Williams College Pumpkin Carving Contest.

    Aquilah Gantt '05

    Board Co-President

    Aquilah works at the Open Society Foundations. She has a background in law, public interest, and the arts. She is the former chair of the Arts and Culture Committee for the NY Ephs. During her time at Williams she was involved in dance and sang in the Gospel Choir.

    Emily Chapman '13

    Secretary

    Emily works in an epigenomics lab at the Icahn School of Medicine, and is currently applying to medical school. She is interested in maternal and fetal healthcare, and might specialize in psychiatry. A political science major at Williams, she also sang a cappella in The Accidentals, and enjoyed playing and partying with the JV soccer team.

    Rob Gearity '11

    Treasurer

    Rob is an Integrated Marketing Manager for Wired magazine working with sales teams to create special programs for advertisers. At Williams, he majored in Spanish and Classics (Greek) and, extracurricularly, was a member of Good Question a cappella group, the Eph Swimming and Diving team and featured in some of Cap and Bells productions.

    Pinsi Lei '12

    Marketing Director
     

    Pinsi is the CEO of Pinsi Lei Creative, a boutique creative agency in New York specializing in branding, digital marketing and design. In addition to the NY Ephs Board, Pinsi sits on the Young Professionals Board of Friends of the Children NY and is an active member of the Clinton Foundation 20/30. She is a classically trained pianist and competitive equestrian.

    Veronica Mendiola '05

    Board Past-President

    Veronica works in Investor Relations for an alternative asset manager and also serves on the Executive Committee for the Williams College Society of Alumni. While in college, Veronica was involved with College Council, All Campus Entertainment and the hip hop dance group, Nothin but Cuties.

    Joe Mastracchio '10

    Charitable Committee Chair

    Joe is the owner and operator of Red Note Rehearsal Studios, a full-service music rehearsal space in Ridgewood, Queens. At Williams he played drums for the small jazz ensemble Turnip Cake and bass for the rock group Beastface, and also wrote for the Features department of the Williams Record.
